La Ferté Alais

22-23 May 2010

The Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis runs one of the most impressive warbird collections in Europe. Their main centre of operations, and also the location of their museum, is La Ferté Alais, just south of Paris. Most of their impressive collection is airworthy, and they proudly present it each year during their annual airshow “Le temps des Hélices”, the age of props.

The show is organized in thematic blocks and are introduced by commentator Bernard Chabbert, aided by an extensive sound system all along the crowdline. This helps set the tone for the show. No report could be complete without offering some impressions of this in the video.

La Ferté Alais once again proved to be one of the finest warbird shows in the world, with a varied line-up, attractively presented, and always brilliantly relaxed. A must for any aviation enthusiast!
