The Erco Ercoupe was and is a popular American recreational aircraft, which also saw some very limited military use by the US Army Air Force in the 1940s.

While there are many Ercoupes still flying in the US, the type is a bit more rare in Europe. In Germany, 2 very similar Ercoupes are stationed close to Frankfurt. This video shows some air-to-air footage shot from one Ercoupe (D-ENUC) of the second Ercoupe (D-EJOR) during a photo-flight over the Rhine-valley.
